In 1971, Larry Singer began his photography career in South Florida as a photographer for the rock and roll publication, Circus Magazine. Nationally distributed posters were created from his images of Rod Stewart and Alice Cooper. His iconic photo of guitarist Eddie Van Halen in full flight is on the cover of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Visitor Planning Guide and is featured on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame billboards.

The VHI documentary, Behind the Music: Alice Cooper, used Singer’s image of Alice Cooper. His concert portrait of Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali was used in the documentary, Well Now That You’re Here, There’s No Way Out.

Singer has won numerous awards from the National Press Photography Association, the Virginia Press Association, the South Carolina Press Association, and the Arkansas News Publishers Association. In January 2015, Popular Photographymagazine published a two-page feature article explaining how he used a scanner instead of a conventional camera to create photographic fine art.

In recent years, Singer’s fine art photography has twice won awards at competitions sponsored by Rossetti Fine Art in Wilton Manors, Florida. He can be contacted by email.
