Kulkarni holds a Bachelor of Engineering – Petroleum Engineering – Gold Medalist (University 1st Rank Holder) from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology in Pune, India, and graduated from the Global Energy Leadership Program at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
